Circumstances can make or break you
How do we know if we have what it takes to be mentally tough? How can one become stronger in the mind? All can be accomplished with time.
Possessing a strong mind can help you in a multitude of ways. Learning to let things go is one of them. Someone with a strong mind learns to not get emotionally involved in events that he/she can’t control. Remaining stoic when facing adversity is a plus.
Imagine a trauma surgeon appearing frantic when summoned to assist with a code red! That energy can disseminate to the staff and, most undoubtedly the trauma patient. Not a good look. Mental toughness can ease just about any predicament.
One of my favourite tools to increase my mental strength, I find this to be an exceptional one at that is weight lifting. Since I was a child, I was able to fortify my mind over the years by exercising.
Putting your mind and body thru the rigors of exercising is great for our depression as well. It also helps with anxiety, anger, stress.
