Speculation about what will come standard on Apple’s iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro has begun. These rumors may help you decide whether to buy an iPhone 15 now or wait for next year’s model.
Jeff Pu, an analyst at Haitong Intl Tech Research, claims that the iPhone 16 Pro’s screen size will increase by 0.2 inches, likely from 6.1 to 6.3 inches and from 6.7 inches to 6.9 inches.
The rumored camera specs for the iPhone 16 are a 48MP (1/1.5", 7P) 3-stacked lens and a 12MP Ultrawide lens (5P), while the iPhone 16 Pro will have a 48MP (1/1.3", 7P) 3-stacked lens, a new 48MP UW (6P AF) lens, and a 12MP Tele (Periscope 1G3P) lens.
According to rumors, the A17 CPU and Snapdragon X70 5G modem from Qualcomm will be at the heart of the iPhone 16. Using TSMC’s N3E process, the new A18 Pro 3nm CPU and the Snapdragon X75 5G modem will power the iPhone 16 Pro.
The Snapdragon X75, according to Qualcomm, is the first Modem-RF System to feature a dedicated AI tensor accelerator, resulting in an increase in AI performance of 2.5 times compared to the first generation.
A total of 8 gigabytes (GB) of LPD5 RAM will supposedly be standard on all iPhone 16 versions. If you are due for an upgrade during the time of the release of the iPhone 16, it may be worth it.
Finally, Pu hints at the possibility of WiFi 7 support coming to the iPhone 16 Pro via an integrated WiFi 7 + Bluetooth + Ultra-wideband solution. The 16th-generation iPhone would continue to support WiFi 6E.
