The Only iPhone to Get 12 GB of RAM and an Improved Cooling System Is the 17 Pro Max.
According to a recent rumor from TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that the iPhone 17 Pro Max will be the only one with 12 GB of RAM and an improved cooling system.
Earlier this week, there was a rumor suggesting that all iPhone 17 models will have 12GB of RAM. However, according to Kuo, this update will only Apple available on the Pro Max variant.
I will believe it when I see it. 🤣
Kuo further speculates in an X post that the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro Max will include an innovative cooling system that integrates graphite sheets and vapor chamber technologies.
Only the iPhone 17 Pro Max, out of all the new iPhone models in 2025, will have these specs:
1. The ultra-thin, iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and SE4 will all feature 8GB of RAM, while the 12GB model will have 12 GB. A big selling point for the iPhone 17 Pro Max is its improved on-device AI capabilities.
2. A more advanced cooling system that utilizes graphite sheets and vapor chamber (VC) technology. Graphite sheets will remain the exclusive heat management material for all other new iPhone models released in 2025.
Last but not least, according to Kuo, the iPhone Pro Max is now the most profitable and revenue-generating hardware product for Apple, accounting for approximately 40% of new iPhone model shipments.
According to the analyst, Apple will keep the Pro Max model’s attraction and premium sales going by differentiating it with better technological specs beyond a bigger screen size.
