Consistency is a word we encounter from time to time but what does it actually mean? Well…………… to be quite frank. A LOT! Our day-to-day life sort of depends on some form of consistency. For instance, our means of income.

It depends on our consistency to arrive on time, execute tasks efficiently, have precision like a mind, similar to a surgeon or an auto mechanic.

Consistency is the very reason 100 percent of successful people are consistent in their craft. Working out requires it as well, we shan’t skimp this here. Results speak for themselves.

You want it, go get it! No need for negative self-talk for it can erode any feasibility on what it is YOU want to conquer. All too often, mistakes are made by members of the public who do not pay close enough attention to consistency.

It is for this reason that writers should always make sure their writing remains consistent throughout their works.

When putting pen to paper, or fingers to keyboard, it’s important that you are aware of the fact that every single thing you are saying or writing should be consistent with at least one other thing, and that you are also consistent throughout your work.

For example, if a character has black hair in one scene, they shouldn’t suddenly have red hair when seen for the next scene. This lack of consistency confuses the reader and causes them to lose interest in what is happening in your work.

In order to avoid this, it’s important that you take your time when writing and make sure that everything is perfect before moving on to the next step. This includes making sure that your characters are consistent in their appearances, as well as their personalities and actions.

It’s also important to be consistent with the facts you present in your work. For example, if a character is from the UK in one scene, they shouldn’t suddenly be from Australia when seen for the next.

If this occurs, the reader will become confused and may not be able to follow the story properly.

If you are unsure about something, it’s always a good idea to do some research before you start writing. This will help to ensure that your work is as accurate and consistent as possible.

A lot of this is rhetorical but needs to be seen once in a while as a refresher. We need to have each other’s back on here for the world is utter cold these days. Cheers comrades….
