According to a fresh claim from TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple has allegedly abandoned the much-rumored solid-state buttons for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

So much for all of the hype. Let us see what else changes as time goes on.

What is the deal with the buttons?

According to the latest poll, both high-end iPhone 15 Pro models (Pro & Pro Max) will forgo the closely-watched solid-state button design in favor of the classic physical button design due to unsolved technological concerns before mass production.

Kuo observes that this is terrible news for Cirrus Logic, who was supposed to offer the Controller IC, and AAC Technologies, which was supposed to supply the Taptic Engine. Due to its bigger operating scale, Luxshare, another Taptic Engine supplier, will be less affected.
