Increased Prices, Job Losses, and Robots Could Result from California’s $20 Minimum Wage

Jobs are illegal under the minimum wage. Now we need to determine which occupations are illegal.

It is against the law for fast food restaurants in California to perform any task that costs less than $20. Consumers should expect price increases, job losses (because of a law!), and the rise of automation, kiosks, and robots.

Big companies can change relatively easily, while smaller ones never start or fail miserably.

It reminds me a lot of the regulations put in place by COVID. On this occasion, however, the minimum wage statute is the instrument of choice.
