I enjoyed your thoughts on this post. Here are some things you left out:

1. You do not have to pay to have a website. If it is self-hosted, you pay. When you have a self-host site, you then can monetize with ads.

2. Youtube content creators need a certain amount of viewing hours ( I think 4K hours) to be able to receive money. If I am erroneous, I'll take full accountability.

I see it like this, YouTube is for extroverts, and having a website is for more introverted individuals. Either way, you're still making something out of yourself and breaking out from the societal norms. Cheers!
