Many fruits and vegetables sold in stores today come from farms that use traditional farming methods. In other words, the food was grown with the help of pesticides, herbicides, and chemical fertilizers.

Various scientific studies show manmade pesticides can be harmful to our health. For example, one study found that children who ate pesticides were likelier to have ADHD. In other cases, pesticide exposure can cause cancer, infertility problems, and birth defects.

Along with the many other “food-like” items that are not very good for us that we eat, we also take in a lot of foreign substances. Over time, our bodies become overloaded with these man-made chemicals, and our “cleaning” systems cease working.

Because of this, many of us get sick and sicker because our bodies can not get rid of these toxins as well as they used to. We have told you what organic foods you should eat so your body can take a break from all these chemicals.

If we get them from familiar sources, the things below are some of the most dangerous for our bodies. The Environment Working Group (EWG) says that these foods have the most pesticides on and in them compared to other foods. We suggest starting with the foods below if you consider moving to organic.

From least to most toxins, here are the top 12 organic foods you should eat:

1. Apples: The USDA Pesticide Data Program has found 42 pesticide traces on apples. Out of the 42 pesticide traces, there are 7 known carcinogens, 19 possible hormone disruptors, 10 neurotoxins, 6 developmental or reproductive toxins, and 17 honeybee toxins.

2. Cherries: The USDA Pesticide Data Program has found 42 known pesticide traces on them. Out of the 42 pesticide residues, there were 7 known or likely carcinogens, 22 potential hormone disruptors, 7 neurotoxins, 8 development or reproductive toxins, and 18 honeybee toxins.

3. Green Beans: The USDA Pesticide Data Program has found 44 pesticide traces on green beans. Out of the 44 pesticide traces, there are 8 known carcinogens, 22 possible hormone disruptors, 11 neurotoxins, 8 developmental or reproductive toxins, and 18 honeybee toxins.

4. Collard Greens: The USDA Pesticide Data Program has found 46 pesticide traces…
