“The only competition is that reflection you see in the mirror.”

Easier said than done right? As humans, it’s natural to think what it’ll be like walking in someone else’s shoes that are more affluent than you, has a better job than you, a better car.

This person just has to have it all together. I want to be like this person!

Idolatry get’s you nowhere. We are all unique and we must learn to embrace our differences and idiosyncrasies. I too can recall a time or two I just had to have a certain shoe, or a certain game to impress people and make friends.

Alway’s been somewhat of a loner so this was a bad habit in its infancy. In my youth, I was quite precocious, luckily. It just felt weird to me that I was doing something just to impress and get validated.

Selling myself short wasn’t going to last so I had to learn to face my issues. Embrace my uniqueness in its entirety. The older I got, the less I cared about approval or material possessions.

If it didn’t feel right, don’t do it. Our intuition is there for a reason. Your vibe attracts your tribe.

We are all energetic beings that feed off the energy of all sorts. Being in competition with someone other than yourself is a waste of…
