Are The United States and Other Nations Poised To Prohibit Cell Phone Use In Schools?
Cell phones are verboten in Russia and Sweden
Sweden and Russia are the most recent nations to prohibit cell phones in classrooms.
Albeit several other nations, such as England, France, the Netherlands, Finland, Israel, China, Australia, Ontario, Greece, Ghana, Rwanda, and Uganda, have already implemented policies prohibiting the use of mobile phones in schools, the United States has yet to do so.
The Russian school cell phone prohibition applies to all grade levels, whereas the Swedish ban applies to students in grades 1 through 9 (approximately 16 years old).
The prohibition in Sweden extends to intervals between courses as well.
The approval of the amendments concerning the prohibition of mobile phones in Russia’s education law is anticipated by both senators in the Federation Council’s upper chamber and President Vladimir Putin.
