Jeff Pu, an analyst at Haitong Intl Tech Research, has released a report speculating that Apple plans to raise the price of the iPhone 15 with the release of the next iteration of the device.
According to reports, commercial manufacturing of the iPhone 15 will begin without significant delays in August. Compared to the 75 million units produced of the iPhone 14 in 2H22, Haitong anticipates 84 million units to be constructed of the iPhone 15 in 2H23.
Suppliers who successfully secured orders for the new handset will benefit from the year-over-year increase; however, Pu warns that the increased price of the iPhone 15 may hinder sales.
