When life starts to get a tad rough, you can become forgetful of your coping skills.

The old adage, “practice what you preach” reverberates in your head when you are calm, however, once perturbed it is arduous to think just react.

I will list the six ways the power of silence can have on you and your life predicaments.

1. Never defend yourself:

If anyone tells you that someone is talking shit about you, do not make excuses about what is said of you however, answer:

“He does not know my other faults; else, they would not have mentioned only these.”

— Epictetus

Feeble people cache their feelings and show off their strengths.

Wise people boast about their flaws without showing off their strengths.

DO NOT allow your ego to bind you!

2. Sit still:

“All of man’s problem arises from his inability to sit in a quiet room alone.”

— Pascal

Overindulging in screen activities dulls the mind.
